Original Acrylic: "Night of the Billy Goat"
|
Goats were introduced into New Zealand from Britain as domestic stock. Of course, some escaped or were released into the wild and flourished extremely well in our lush broadleaf forests and tussock grasslands, so we have many wild goats.
We also have four species of domesticated milking goat here, and this is a Saanen male. For several years I bred Anglo Nubians, and though I never had any Saanen bucks this one belonged to a friend. He seemed to fit quite well under our mountain on a moonlit night.
