I created this cover design in Adobe Photoshop using images of paintings I had done of the Northland area on my visits home over several years. You will recognise probably most of them from this site. The paintings are mostly of places in the Far North, from Kerikeri right up to 90 Mile Beach (top right).
It was really exciting when out of the 20 finalists who had been selected from all the many entries, my design was announced the winner on the night of the presentation.
I got some wonderful feedback on this design through a person who delivered the phonebooks to businesses in the area.
That in itself was awesome.
