Original Acrylic: "Mamaku" Wilderness Landscape.
|
You can feel the light breeze lifting the fronds of this shimmering treefern as the sunlight shines through its foliage.
The Black Mamaku - Cyathea medullaris - is the largest of the New Zealand tree ferns and can grow up to 45 feet in height.
At any size these are impressive ferns, either standing singly or in groves, and I hope this image gives a real feeling for the visual impact of these magnificent plants in the New Zealand landscape.
