This fern concept appears in several of my works - some paintings, screenprints, and this etching.
I took a course in etching at the Waikato Society of Arts in Hamilton in 1986. We were encouraged to create etchings of things that had meaning for us. This study of the Kiokio (Blechnum capense) is one of the etchings I came up with and this is the first time it has been on display.
