Original Acrylic: "The Darkness of the Gums" Wilderness Landscape
|
This painting came out of my fascination with the eerie shapes and shadows in a thick forest of gum trees on the boundary of a property that once belonged to my parents. It was the first place they bought up here in the Far North, and it was a great property - 10 acres, roughly triangular with a sizeable stream on the long boundary, and this forest of gums on the opposite bank of the stream.
Oils on board. Sold to a collector in Kerikeri NZ.
