Seven Bay of Plenty Branch shooters went to the Mangakino Branch Champagne and Chicken Shoot and did rather well.
It was surprising to see Pat Howitt there dressed in a pair of beaten-up gumboots, jeans and a cap (looking like a sheep farmer), mustering sheep off the range.
I did not recognise her until I was persuaded by my wife that it was Pat. It is good to see the National Secretary mixing in with the members.
She did not shoot too bad either. She could have done better if Ron Stuart had lent her a better .22 .......
[For the cognoscente, my regular caliber used to be .308.]
